It is intended to be limited to these businesses that deal directly with the end user providing advice and services for home and garden maintenance and enjoyment.
The home covers such a a lot of possibilities from the design, building and construction of the building, to flooring, wall surfaces and roofing, to doors and windows and their treatment. It involves lighting, heating and cooling options, plumbing and electrical, carpeting, parquetry, cabinet making, built-ins. Wet areas invite solutions to bathroom and toilet styles, ensuites, laundries and kitchens. Appliances and the ultimate furnishing of your house to your taste to make it your home. So many businesses have input into this transformation and Home and Garden looks to give the consumer a choice.
Now you have a home, you are still not finished, there are garages, insurances, water tanks, watering options, children's play equipment, swimming pools, spas. Do you have a patio, a deck, a pergola, a verandah etc? Is the flooring to be bricked, cemented ot paved? Do you need fencing, especially round the pool? What style of letterbox, and where is the dog to be housed?

And now that's done, what about the garden - fruit trees, veggie patches, flowers, lawns - real or artificial turf. Visits to nurseries, employing a lawn mowing service or buying your own mower? Where will you keep garden tools? Do you need a garden shed or is there room in the garage?
By the way, did you have the driveway paved, bricked, cemented, etc? Are you creating self watering, or installing grey water tanks or rainwater tanks?
