Student Accommodation One was launched in 2009 under two brands Student Accommodation One and Homestay One. The founder sees an opportunity in digitizing accommodation offers on university advertisement boards. He also sees the need for connecting overseas students with local homestay hosts. The site was well received and soon thousands of listings were added onto the site. It has been providing thousands of accommodation listings globally. In 2020, the two brands were merged onto Student Accommodation One.
