Kanga Gardening

Grounds and garden maintenance for managed property, from one accountable local contractor. Kanga Gardening is run from Edithvale by its owner and has maintained the outdoor areas of commercial buildings, industrial estates, body corporate complexes and larger private properties across south-east Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula since 2020.

This is the grounds side of property maintenance. We keep lawns, garden beds, hedges, entrances, car park surrounds, fencelines and verges presentable all year. We do not carry out building repairs, cleaning or construction work.

For a property or facility manager the value is in how the work is run. Each site is walked and quoted in writing, with a scope both sides can point to and a fixed monthly fee that does not change from visit to visit. Visits follow a set schedule and can be timed around deliveries, trading hours and vehicle movements. The owner of the business attends every visit, so there is one phone number and one person answerable for the result.

On site the work includes ride-on mowing of open areas and frontages, push mowing in tight spots, edging, hedge trimming, pruning, garden bed maintenance, mulching and removal of all green waste. Indoor plants in offices and receptions can be maintained on the same visit, which leaves one contractor and one invoice for greenery inside and out.

Paperwork is kept simple for managed sites. The quote arrives with a Certificate of Currency showing $20 million of public and products liability cover and with a Safe Work Method Statement. Each season a condition report goes to commercial and body corporate clients, with dated photos recording the work completed, the work put off and the reason.

We service managed sites in Braeside, Mordialloc, Dandenong South, Carrum Downs, Cranbourne West, Pakenham, Frankston and Mornington and the suburbs around them, in the council areas of Kingston, Greater Dandenong, Casey, Cardinia, Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula.

The operator is police checked and the business is a Sustainable Gardening Australia member, trading since 2020.
