Kanga Gardening

Indoor plant maintenance for offices, receptions, showrooms and workplaces across south-east Melbourne. Kanga Gardening looks after interior plants on a regular schedule so displays stay healthy and presentable without the job falling to whoever sits nearest the pot. Please note that we maintain plants and do not hire them out.

Many office displays start well and slide once nobody is responsible for them. Plants are overwatered or forgotten, leaves gather dust and the weak ones linger in reception. A maintenance visit puts that right and keeps it right. Each plant is watered to suit its species, pot and position, fed through the growing months, cleaned, trimmed of dead growth and turned so it grows evenly. Drainage is checked, plant health is monitored and anything that is not thriving is replaced with a like-for-like plant so no shelf or corner sits empty.

Visits are fortnightly as standard, or every three to four weeks where the plants and their positions allow. The same person comes each time and gets to know the building, the light in each room and how every plant is travelling. One workplace on our round holds 188 indoor plants across offices, a lobby and a warehouse.

The service suits business parks and head offices around Dandenong, Moorabbin, Clayton, Mulgrave, Braeside and Cranbourne. It can stand alone or be combined with outdoor grounds maintenance, with lawns, garden beds and hedges looked after on the same round. Either way the arrangement is a fixed monthly fee agreed in writing after a walk through the premises.

Behind the service is Kanga Gardening of Edithvale, an owner-operated grounds maintenance business that has worked to recurring schedules since 2020 for commercial and industrial sites, body corporate complexes, acreage and holiday homes in Melbourne's south east and on the Mornington Peninsula. Public and products liability cover of $20 million is held, the operator is police checked and the business belongs to Sustainable Gardening Australia.
